SM Prime Holdings Inc., the leading shopping mall developer and operator owned by retail tycoon Henry Sy, has acquired three malls in China through a share-swap agreement.
SM Prime, in a disclosure to the stock exchange, said it had submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission documents relating to the acquisition of the malls.
The malls, owned by the Sy family, are located in the cities of Jinjiang, Xiamen and Chengdu. Anchor tenants include retailing giant Wal-Mart, international fast food restaurants McDonald’s and Kentucky Fried Chicken, and department store Shoe Mart-Laiya. > > > [ full story ]
