The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday that 238 out of 798 passed the Architect Licensure Examination given by the Board of Architecture in Manila last January, 2008. The successful examinees who garnered the 10 highest places are the following: Ryan Mina Benaoe, Saint Louis University, 79.30; Jonel Gonzaga Villanueva, University of San Carlos, 78.90; Oliver Reyes Imperial, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 78.60; Roden Adam Bernaldez Abella, University of San Carlos, 78.10; Maja Cielo Henson Jose, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 77.80; Antonio Jr. Salomes DaƱo, Western Mindanao State University, 76.70; Alistaire Cinco Ong, University of Santo Tomas, and Risha Carla Campos Tobias, University of the PhilippinesDiliman, 76.40; Carter Tan Choa, University of Santo Tomas, 76.30; Joseph Hernandez Manahan, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 76.10; and Charmaine Joyce Esguerra Vidal, University of Santo Tomas, 76.00. On the Board of Architecture who gave the licensure examination are Arch. Armando N. Alli, chairman; Arch. Angeline T. Chua Chiaco and Arch. Marietta B. Segovia, members. The result of examination with respect to one examinee was withheld pending final determination of his liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations. The results were released in 11 working days after the last day of examination. Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Monday, Feb. 11, but not later than March 14. The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on Tuesday, March 25, 1 p.m., at the Fiesta Pavilion, Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila. Pursuant to Section 40 of Republic Act 9266, mandatory registration for membership with the United Architects of the Philippines, Inc. (UAP), will start on Monday, Feb. 11. The top performing school (with 20 or more examinees and with at least 50 percent passing percentage) in the January 2008 Architect Licensure Examination is the University of Santo Tomas with 35 of 63 examinees who passed the exam (56.00 percent). |
