In another move to cut red tape in the bureaucracy, President Arroyo has created a one-stop shop (OSS) and an inter-agency committee to hasten the processing of housing permits in the country.
In Administrative Order No. 219, the President said the OSS will accept applications and assist real estate developers in securing licenses from local government units and other agencies for housing development.
The OSS will be composed of agencies involved in the issuance of housing-related permits, clearances, certifications and licenses such as the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Agriculture, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and Department of Interior and Local Government. > > > [ full story ]
